The pistol was made circa 1835 by the British Gunsmith D. BELL of YORK in the North of England, as marked on top of the barrel. The entire frame issmothered in foliate engraving, with a checkered walnut grip and Silver Lion Mask Butt Cap. Measuring 9 1 4" in overall length,
