The neighborhood

Phra Nakhon, Bangkok

Phra Nakhon is the historic district where Marni BKK Hostel sits, about 500 m from Khaosan Road and 2.4 km from the Grand Palace.

Where the hostel sits

Phra Nakhon is Bangkok's old city district, on the east bank of the Chao Phraya. Marni BKK Hostel is in Ban Phan Thom, at 354/6-7 Soi Worapong, Wisutkasat Road, Bangkok 10200. The area is often called Rattanakosin when people mean the palace quarter.

From the hostel, Khaosan Road is 500 m, Democracy Monument is 900 m, Sanam Luang is 1.7 km, the Bangkok National Museum is 1.7 km, and the Grand Palace is 2.4 km. Those are the figures on the location page.

Why travelers stay here

You can reach a lot of the historic city without crossing Bangkok. Khaosan covers food and the backpacker scene. The palace, museum, and Sanam Luang are a separate outing further south. Cafes on the hostel's list — Cafe Amazon, Juntun Craft Bar & Store, and Pul Sin Restaurant — sit within a few hundred metres of the building.

Dorms and private rooms are listed on the rooms page. The Khaosan Road stay page is the shorter version if you already know you want this neighborhood.

Arriving from an airport

Don Mueang is 17 km from the hostel and Suvarnabhumi is 33 km. Neither figure is a drive time. See Don Mueang to Khaosan Road and Suvarnabhumi to Khaosan Road for what those transfers involve.
